Filling Still Hurts

Question: I had a filling done on a cavity a month ago. However, whenever I chew or eat something hot or cold, it is very painful. I am worried now and not sure what to do.

Answer: Go back to the dentist that did the filling. It is normal to have some pain after having a filling even for a few days, but not a month and not at the pain level you are saying you are in. Pain is never a good sign and should not be taken lightly.

13 dental cavities have dental insurance but still can not afford dental care.

13 dental cavities have dental insurance but still can not afford dental care.   Please help me I have been suffering from bad tooth decay since I was a child even though I do brush and floss constantly.
However I always seem to still get cavities.  I am 19 years old and on my family dental insurance plan.   The problem is even though my parents have dental insurance they are in such deep debt that even with the dental insurance they can not afford to pay what the the plan does not cover.
I have right now 13 cavities  and I am not starting to have pain in the side of my mouth.  I do not know where to go.   The dental clinic that is near by us will not take me because my family has dental insurance and although my parents are in deep debt and can not afford much they do not count as low income either.  Do you have any advise where I can go?

Really rotten teeth on an adult

Is there any reason for an adult 24 year old to have really bad teeth to the point that you can see the brown and black spots on them and all her  teeth are really yellow.   I asking because I have to work with someone like that and I think it is really gross.  I am not sure why the bosses do not say anything since we have to work with so many people (we are in sales)

I am just thinking can someone teeth look like that and it not be about them not caring enough to brush there teeth?  I do not get it. She a full timer so she get dental care though our job.  I want to tell her to brush her darn teeth but it is not my place.   I am at the point though of saying that I do not want to work with her and that I want to work a different department in the store so I do not have to see it any more.

Tooth decay and large size cavities dental help needed

My teeth are really bad.  I know because I can see a brown spot on my tooth with a little hole.   I have always been scared of going to the dentist so I rarely ever did.   I do not have any pain so that is odd but I do not know what to do either.  Afraid of my tooth getting  worse but embarrassed about what a dentist will say and do if he/she see how bad my teeth are.   Also I have no dental insurance and worried about my cost.  Is there any low cost options?  Please advise.

Monthly rates for dental insurance, Is there a dental insurance for low income homes.

So I come from a low income home.  My mom is workin two jobs and I work a part time job to help out.  However it is still very hard on my mom to take care off three kids for the most part on her own.

We do not go to the dentist since she can not afford for us to.  However I have starting  getting a toothache in one of my back molars.  I have not said much to her about this since I will be turning 18 in a year and will be able to work full time and get dental insurance on my own.   In the mean time were can we go to get help.  Is there a low income dental insurance plan she can get?

Low cost Monthly Dental Plans, Need a dental plan with a low monthly rate

I am looking for a low monthly cost plan ideally one that I can stay with my dentist.   I had been with my dentist for over five years but that was when I had dental insurance though a job I had.  I have not been to the dentist now in over eight months so I am pass my next visit for my dental check up.

I would like to have dental insurance in place so that I do not have to pay for my office visit and cleaning.  Looking for a dental plan that would at least pay most of my dental cost for my X-rays and cleaning.

Dental Help needed, My teeth are chipping need low cost dental services

My teeth seem to be chipping away.  I have not been to the dentist well like forever.  I always tried to take care of my teeth on my own since I never had money to go to the dentist.  Now I think I have two chips that I can feel with my tongue on two different teeth.  Where can I go to have this looked at for free.   Since money is not something I really have right now is there a free dental clinic that I could go to.

Dental work needed on a very low income, Need to get dental for less

What do you do when you are on a very low income and you need to have dental work that goes beyond just having a cleaning and X-rays?  I have dental insurance but I swear it only covers for cleaning and X-rays.  For anything thing else I am lucky if it knocks 20 to  40 dollars off the cost of services render.

I need to have three filling before they turn into something bigger and more expensive.  Where can I go to get dental services for less? Need help in Washington.   Thanks

Dental help, How do you know if you have a cavity

I would like to know if there is a way of telling if you have a cavity before it starts to hurt you.  Please  no answers about me going to the dentist because I am talking besides going to the dentist.  I really do not like the dentist so I would rather put off seeing one unless I have no choose about it.   However that does not mean I want to be in pain either.  I hear cavities when they get too big will hurt like heck.  How can you tell you have a cavity before it gets to that point?

Dental for less, Toothache pain for the past four days.

I have not been in to see the dentist since I do not know when.  I never had any dental insurance and I work on and off when I can so as you can guess I do not have a lot of money.  I have been dealing with one of my teeth that hurts on and off.   Only within the last for days it really hurts more often and I am not sure what to do about it.  I can not afford to see a dentist so how can I make this  pain stop?

How Can I Find Affordable Dental Plans from Dental4Less.com?

Affordable Dental Plans According to the National Association of Dental Plans, approximately half of the U.S. population does not have an affordable dental plan. The cost for affordable dental insurance can vary. Therefore, it is important to understand all your options in obtaining the most affordable dental plan coverage.

The company where you work may provide the most affordable dental insurance plan options. Dental insurance plans for individual and families are usually an HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) or a PPO (Preferred Provided Organization) and operate much like traditional health insurance organizations. Affordable Dental Plans – HMO Affordable dental insurance plans from an HMO have a limited pool of dentist to select, but it is a more affordable insurance plan.

If you are self employed and looking for a more affordable dental plan, a discount dental plan may be an alternative. Discount dental plans are not dental insurance plans. A discount plan partners with dentists to provide customers with a savings on visits to the dentist office. The downside to discount dental plans is that they are not regulated and you have limited recourse if you experience dental plan problems. Affordable Dental Plans – Where to Buy You can obtain quotes for more affordable dental insurance plans from companies online and through your local insurance agent or broker.

Please keep in mind that there are many web sites who give the appearance of selling dental insurance but instead only offer a dental discount plan which is not insurance. Your dentist may also have affordable dental plan options available to patients.  Ask the receptionist if they partner with a dental plan company and see if one might be right for you.

Affordable Dental Plans – Other Alternatives If you belong to a professional association, you might be eligible for a dental insurance or discount dental plan. Many associations partner with a PPO to provide their members with dental plans that offer very comprehensive insurance coverage at more affordable prices. Finally, dental schools may offer affordable dental services. Dental schools seem to be safe, but can be inconvenient and treatment for one problem may have to be addressed in multiple office visits.
