I need to have four filling and a root canal with a crown. I do not have insurance right now so I do need to get something place before going ahead with having any dental work done. I would like to keep my cost low. How do I go about not only shopping the dental insurance but the what the cost for dental services are?
Reply: Since price is an issue in addition to needing major dental care right away I would suggest reviewing HMO insurance plans. As they are the lower cost insurance options. More importantly to you HMO generally do not have waiting periods for major dental care services, they also list all services covered by the plan and your cost for each service. Allowing you to compare plan cost with plan benefits and your cost for services.
I want to get dental insurance but I also would like the plan to offer vision insurance as well. I just need a dental plan for maintenance. I have good teeth but would like to make sure they stay that way. I also need some vision insurance because I do wear glasses and contacts. My eye care is getting very expensive so any help with that would be great. I live in Ft Worth TX so what plan would you advise for me to look at that offers both dental and vision?
When looking for or getting dental insurance quotes what should you know so that you are able to pick the best plan for you? I am shopping dental insurance rates but besides cost what are some of the other factors I should know when buying a dental insurance plan?
This is all really new to me and when I call dental insurance agents they give me prices anywhere from $10 – 60 dollars a month. I really do not get why there is such a big difference in cost. I know I may not be asking all the right questions but I want to buy the best dental plan I can get since I do have dental work that is needed.
