Low Cost Dental, Were do you find a low cost dental office

I know I may need a lot of dental work done to my teeth since I have not seen a dentist in over four years.  I am on a fixed income and can only now see the dentist since my job just offered us some dental coverages.

I was told I can pick any dentist I want so I still want to find a low cost dentist in order to keep my cost very low.  Where do I find a dentist that is for low income families?  Does having dental insurance keep you from seeing a low cost dentist?   I really do not want to spend to much money since I do not have very much extra funds.

Since you said you have a type of dental insurance that lets you choose any dentist, you are able to control cost by shopping out your dentist cost.

First step is since you are going to need an office visit, check up and X-rays. Start with shopping out that. Call your local dentist and find out who can offer you the best price for your first visit.

Once you get a dental plan treatment, if you feel like it is to expensive nothing stopping you from using that dental plan treatment provided and shopping out your dental cost based on that treatment plan.

I would also advise you to not have any dental work started beyond the first visit until you confirm with your dental insurance your true cost for any dental treatment advised.

That is easily done by submitting your dental plan treatment as a quote only to your dental insurance company. By doing this you can avoid having unexpected UCR cost.

If you can choose your own dentist you may want to look into a dental clinic since they normally offer lower prices. Just make sure you know how the dental office files out claims.

Some dental offices will make you pay in full for services render then you have to file the claim to the insurance company in order to get your money back that would be due you.
