Dental care, upper expander
I just go an upper expander put on two days ago and besides the fact that my mouth is sore and it is hard to eat right now I also am taking funny. It is like I have a lisp now. How long will this all last? I am told that I will need to have the expander for at least a year.

Do worry so much it will take some time for you to adjust with having the upper expander in but over some time you will be able to talk find.
The soreness should not be as bad though that depends on the person. Say about four to five days. At least that was how it was for the most part with my son.

Man I hated when I had an upper expander put in. I so know how you feel and so glad it is over with now. Keep in mind that your teeth and mouth is going to look so much better.
The pain you do get use to and I talked differently pretty much the whole time I had it in but once it came out I was fine.
