Dental care, Where do you get affordable dental care

My husband and I do have health insurance but dental is not included under our plan.  That was okay until you need to have anything more then cleaning and X-rays.  Just this year we spent over 1000.00 for a large filling and a crown.   This was money we really could not afford to spend but had no other choices but to put it on a credit card.  Which we have yet to pay off.

Now just today my husband brakes a part of his back tooth off so that he is missing a corner of the tooth.  I just know that is another $1000 we do not have the money for.  I do not know what to do at this point.  I guess when it rains it pours but I did not think we would need more then the basic dental care.
