Dental care, Can adults get dental sealants and will insurance cover for it.
I am thirty and my teeth have always been really sensitive to hot and cold. The dentist told me once I just have thin tooth enamel. When I was in my teens my mom had the dentist put on dental sealants for just a few of my front teeth. It really helped out a lot.
Can I have dental sealants but back on my teeth so they will not be so sensitive? And how do I make sure my current dental insurance plan I get though work will cover it or not?

Well you only need to call your dental insurance company and ask them if they will cover you to have dental sealants. However, I would say off hand they more then likely will not.
Dental sealants are normally covered for only minors up to a set age. But call and find out for yourself what your plan will cover.
I do not see why a dentist could not put on dental sealants if you asked about it. After talking things over with your dental insurance company you may want to talk that option over with your dentist.

I had dental sealants put on as as an adult though my dental insurance did not cover it. So you may have to pay out of pocket for the service but if you are bother by your sensitive teeth like I was it is worth the money

My dental insurance plan will only pay for dental sealants for children up to 15 but I do not see why an adult can not have dental sealants if they are needed.
