Dental Discount plans for the state of Alaska
I live in a low populated area where there is only two dental offices. One of the two dental offics is listed in your Careinton dental POS plan but I am not sure how a dental plan works. Can you go over it for me. Also how does a discount plan differ from dental insurance?
I been finding out many of the the dentist even in the next town over do not take plans where they have to be a provider under the plan. So what can I get if I want a more open dental plan? thanks

Careington POS dental plan is a dental discount plan where as the dentist that are take the plan reduce their dental cost to plan members of the plan.
You can review the fee schedule that is listed in the plan details. From there services not listed or for any specialist in the plan you would get a 20 percent discount.
It works well for keeping your dental cost low at a low cost rate for the plan. Confirm the dentist is still taking the plan before getting it since you only do have the one dentist.

I have the Careington dental POS plan and it work well for my dental needs. I just wanted something really low cost that could help reduce my basic dental care.
I would call that one dentist and make sure they are still accepting the plan before buying it since you are limited to only the one office make sure it is someone you want to go to.

I think on the POS the only thing that is really different between the two Careington plans are the fee schedules. The POS fee schedule is a little more then the 500 series.
Otherwise they both do work the same. Both start with in the next busines day and both offer 20 percent savings off services not listed or render by specalist in the network.
