Dental insurance for Kentucky family

My son needs to have three teeth pulled in order to get his braces put on.  He has crowding issues so the dentist told me we would need to have these teeth pulled in order to make room to straighten out his teeth.

My son father is paying for the braces and I pay for his dental care but right now I do not have dental insurance.  Never really need it until now.   I know if I ask my son father he would pay but I do not want to do that since he does do his part and is a good father to our son.

I would just like some help and was told to look into getting a dental insurance plan but I not having luck since most seem to have waiting periods.  Can you help me?
