Dental Insurance for less in Pennsylvania.
I am writing because I am in need of either affordable dental insurance or an affordable dentist that will accept payment plans. I live out her in Long Creek PA and need help. I need to get an older bridge replace or repaired. I also know I may have a few filling that need to be redone.
Unfortunately I do not have dental insurance that makes going to the dentist affordable when the dentist demand that I pay in full at the time the dental services are render and the insurance company will not pay before dental services are render. You can see where it leaves me stuck.
I have been searching for help for days with no luck. Paying in full upfront is not an option for me since I do not have much in savings and my everyday expense of just living will not be able to pay for it. I am at lost and feeling really let down that I can not seem to get help

It sounds like you have an PPO or an Indemnity plan. Both are great for choosing your own dentist. However the down side is how the dentist can file the claim. As you see a dentist can require you to pay in full at the time the dental services are render.
You can not really blame a dentist for wanting to get paid, since the dentist services were done why should the have to wait for payment?
Many dentist many offer a payment plan or file the claim and wait for the insurance company to pay. However that is normally for long standing patients. I suggest saving what little you do have so that you can have the dental work done.

It sounds as if you would be better suited for an HMO dental insurance plan. On an HMO cost for dental service are pre set. This way you only have to pay the dentist the amount as shown on the plan.
There is no claim forms to fill out because the dentist already as agree to the plan fee schedule for dental services render. I think you would be much happier with an HMO dental insurance plan that what you currently have.

Well have you tried shopping out dentist? I had a plan where I could chose my own dentist or stay within their network of providers. I found out that the dentist in the network would not cut me any slack about having to pay them in full. I found that so hard to believe but it was how things went down for me.
Luckily the dental insurance plan did not change their coverages if I when outside of their network of dentists. So I shopped and call every local dentist until I found someone willing to give me a payment plan. I only had to pay for half and then other have in 30 days which by that time I got the money from the dental insurance company to give to them.

You may also want to look into getting a dental discount plan. They are in every state and are designed to reduce your dental cost for services render. You are only having to pay the discounted or reduce cost to the dentist that take the plan.
