You best bet for any saving off dental implants would be a dental discount plan. Most dental discount plans offer between 15 - 20 percent off the cost of implant dental services. It be up to you though in making sure the plan has a dentist that does that type of service before buying it.

I have a Careington dental plan and over all it works well like it says it does save you money off your dental care. My advise would be to take the fee schedule with you when you go to the dentist to make sure they are staying to the cost that are set up.

Since you have needed dental work beyond a dental cleaning you may want to review any dental discount plan options available to you. Since on a dental discount plan you do not have waiting periods and you can see any of their dental providers within the next business day of your on line enrollment.

As far as cost you will be able to review each plan fee schedule listed in the review plan details then you compare fees schedules for the best plan for your dental needs.

We offer two types of dental plans that do not have waiting periods for their dental services. First you will see a few dental discount plan options. These plans would be effective the fastest as they start within the next business day of your online enrollment.

However if you are wanting insurance then review the dental HMO plan we also offer though HealthPlex. This is a very good over all dental HMO plan that also has no waiting periods. Effective date of the plan is the first of the month if they receive their application before the cut of date of the month that you are in.

Although we do also offer some very good PPO plans though NationWide they would be the plan type that does come with waiting periods and may not be the best fit for you at this time.

For me I rather have dental insurance then a dental discount whenever possible. A dental discount plan may be good at getting some saving off dental services not normally covered under dental insurance but if that is not your need I think cost factor you be better off with dental insurance.

I like HMO plans but have had dental PPO plan though my past jobs. On PPO plans you have to file out claims and sometimes pay for yor dental service in full then wait for the company to pay you back the part that due you under the plan. That can be a drag and something to make sure with the dentist you go to under a PPO plan how they file out claims.

Where on an HMO cost is laid out for you so you only having to pay the cost already set by the company. Therefore no claims forms and no guessing as to how much your dental services is going to cost you.

I got a dental discount plan though Careington. At the time I had a really bad toothache and I needed to see a dentist right away. I got Careington since it did start within the next business day of my buying it online.

At first I really did think I would just get what I needed fixed at the time and then cancel the plan thinking I would find a better dental plan for my future dental needs. But I really like the dentist that fixed my tooth. Not only was I able to get the plan savings but they did let me make three monthly payments instead of charging me in full. I know that was from my dentist but it shows there are good dentist in discount plans too you just have to call around until you find one you like.

I live in New York too. I found an HMO plan that was offer on this web site though HealthPlex. I had it now for over three months and have use it and really like the plan. Since in only three months the plan as more then paid for itself.

I think if you are not locked into a dental office why are you going to buy a more expensive dental plan that has in my opinion way to many limitations. Do what you feel is best for you.

Have you been whitening your teeth? Teeth whitening strips will make your teeth sensitive for a while. More and more people are whitening their teeth with over the counter products and can be doing it to often making their teeth sensitive.

I notice at least for me that even toothpaste with whitening can make my teeth sensitive to hot and cold if I use it too much. Just something to think about if this fit you.

The best advise I can give you is to READ each plan carefully know it plan terms and conditions. Are there any waiting periods, yearly dollar max limitations, deductibles, can you go to any dentist or do you need to stay within the plan network. These are some of the question you need to ask your self beyond just looking at plan cost.

Generally speaking dental HMO insurance plans and your dental discount plans are your lower and more affordable cost dental plan options. These plans generally do not have waiting periods or yearly max limits but you need to either choose a dentist in the net work or make sure you are only going to dentist that take the plan.

Where as you PPO and Free choice of provider dental insurance plans can be more costly with limitation it these types of dental plans that let you go out side the plan network of dental provider or choose any dentist you want to. Which makes these types of plans very popular with people when trying to stay with their provider.

First have an idea of your own dental needs and what you may want in a plan. Are you currently seeing a dentist you wish to stay with? If so find out what dental insurance or dental plan they may be a provider of. This save you from looking at plan they do not accept.

If you know you may need basic and major dental care then try to stay away from those dental insurance plans that have waiting period for basic and major dental services like PPO dental plans.

Or maybe you have a toothache and you need a plan to start right away then when reviewing dental discount may become a good dental plan option.

Having idea of your own needs will help you better choose a dental plan to fit your dental needs. Also if you do have any questions about the dental plan we have to offer call member services at 310-534-3444 they be happy to help you

I have Dental Health Services Super SmartSmile HMO Dental Plan. I live in LA CA and found this HMO plan that my dentist told me about. It offer all the free preventive dental care you are looking for and for me it only $37.90 a month for my family of five.

If you are going to get it just for your self it would be much less then what I paying for my family so you can see it is very affordable. Make sure you have a dentist in the plan but I believe that goes for any HMO plan you may want to get.

The tea bad idea does really work. Have her use a tea flavor that she likes and that will kill the bad taste. However if by the next day she the extraction site still is bleeding she may want to call the dental office back up for advise.

My advise would be have her use a moist tea bag, in stead of gauze to help stop the bleeding. A tea bag will not really make the bleeding stop fast but it will help with the blood taste in her mouth that is making her ill.

If she is keep pressure on the extraction site the bleeding will slow down but she just had her tooth pull so it can take some time for it to completely stop.

With regards to dental insurance plans many will not write a minor on a plan by themselves. Meaning you may have to get a couple plan for you and your son if you are wanting to get dental insurance.

The last reply is correct that you can normally get a dental discount plan for only a minor but discount plans cost is normally low enough that I would suggest thinking about getting a couple plan as well so you can have some dental saving off your own dental care.

On this web site we offer dental insurance and dental discount plans for your review. Just enter your zip code in the box above to be able to see all our dental plan options.
