I am 35 and over time I got this gap between my teeth that was never there when I was young. Oh the joys of getting old right. Well I do not like having the gap since you can see it in every photo I take.

I do not have dental insurance and I am shopping some out. I have not been to a dentist in like five years and I know I need some major dental work done. I do not care what dentist I go to as long as I can have a payment plan.

I am shopping out dental PPO plans. I want to day with my dentist and I am told by the staffing that they will only take PPO’s. As I read though some of the terms in the plans there is somthing I do not fully understand. What is UCR fees and when would they be applided to your coverages?

I am self employed and I am looking for the best dental insurance plan. The medical I picked up is good but I did not like what they offer for dental coverages. I do not want a plan that has only a $1000.00 max limit per person per year. I know that it only takes one major dental service to use that up. I would prefer a plan with no annul max limit though since there is nothing currently wrong with my teeth I do not mind having some waiting periods.

I need to get a dental PPO plan since those are the only plans my dentist will accept. He stated their office is not in any network of providers but PPO would work and that they would file out the claims.

When you buy dental insurance on the monthly payment plan why is it that they can not send you out a billing notice. All I have seen are monthly direct debit. What do people that do not have a checking or credit card account do?

Indemnity – Individual Dental Insurance
This is the plan where you choose your own individual or family dentist. The dental insurance plan pays the dental office on a traditional fee-for-service basis. A monthly premium is paid by the client and/or the employer to an insurance company, which then reimburses them for the services rendered.

How do I get my dentist to file the claims. I got a dental PPO insurance plan because the dentist I want to go only takes PPO dental insurance plans. I have to deal with the waiting periods and yearly max limits in order to continue seeing my dentist.

The law mandates that consumers with dental plan coverage receive a fully detailed patient information handbook — a Description of Benefits — that clearly outlines coverage, limitations and exclusions. Most individual dental insurance plans have annual maximum benefit levels which may be directly related to the monthly premium that you pay for coverage.

Why is it that dental insurance has waiting periods at all. If I could afford to wait six months to a year for my dental services then why would I buy the plan in the first place. Putting discount plans aside are there any dental insurane that does not make you wait for dental services?

I have two dental insurance plans and I go to the dentist that is in my HMO dental plan. The dental office told me that they would be able to use both plans if I wanted them to. I am not sure how that would work. Are they just trying to get paid from two different companies for the same services?

My job just changed their group dental plans that they offer to us. Prior to the change I had Delta Dental that let me choose my dentist. Now do to cost they change to a net work plan where my dentist is not listed. I want to stay with my dentist but my dentist told me that since they are not a network dentist I would not have coverage and I would be paying them in full if I choose to stay with them.

I do have dental insurance but wanted to change my dentist so I called 1800dentist line and found a dentist from that. The dentist does not participate in my network I was told when I called them they do not participate in any dental network but they will file any claim to my dental insurance company. I was told all I had to do was pay them in full first and then they would file the claim.
