Dental 4 Less – Caring for your child teeth and oral health care.
Question: I have a two and half year old son and I been taking care of his teeth by brushing them twice a day and making sure he does not have too many sweets. My problem is he is really fussy when it comes to me brushing his teeth. Is there some easier way to make him less fussy? I sometime put off brushing his teeth until the last minute just because it is a hassle I could really use some good advise.
Reply: Try making it fun instead of a chore. Brush your teeth and show him how much fun it can be. Possible that he just does not like the taste of the tooth paste so try changing the brand and seeing if that helps. Also let him pick out his own child toothbrush (making sure it is still ADA certified) If he gets one he likes he may be more willing to use it with less fuss.
