I have a lose tooth will a dental discount plan help me

I been noticing lately  that  my front top tooth seems to be lose.  It wiggles a little not much but enough so I notice it.  My friend told me to get dental insurance right away since I do not have anything right now.

She use to work in a dental office and she said once the tooth comes out I will not have coverage to fix the gap if it happens when I am not insured.   Is that true?  And if so then could I just get a cheap dental discount plan if the tooth ever comes out?  I do not have money for dental insurance and it not like she going to help me pay for a plan.

Well your friend is correct. Many dental insurance plans will not offer coverage for current missing teeth. Normally many of them do have missing teeth clauses.

You should be able to review dental HMO plans as a low cost dental insurance plan choice. It is the PPO and Indemity dental insurance plans that can become costly plans.

But yes a dental discount plan would normally not have a missing tooth clause so if you do lose the tooth before getting dental insurance, then a dental discount plan would still be a good option to have.

I would suggest going easy on your friend as she is not telling you to get dental insurance just for the sake of it. Seems to me she was really looking out for you.

Cost of having a bridge or implant is high and if you get dental insurance now before it comes to loosing a tooth you will be much better off. Besides maybe the tooth can be saved so I would not put off seeing a dentist.

Although it is nice to be able to have a dental discount plan to fall back on when you let your teeth go to heck.

You would be better off gettng a dental insurance plan before lossing the tooth. Dental discount plans would save you 20 percent off the cost of a bridge and 15 – 20 off the cost of getting an implant.

You may find that coverage for insurance would be better but your friend is right wait until your tooth does fall out and that will no longer be an option.

No matter how you look at your dental issues, whether your choose to wait it out and get a dental discount plan, or if you get dental insurance now, having your tooth fix will still cost you some money.

I sugguest you start saving now. After all your friend is not helping you pay for your dental care. Silly friend maybe she should not have told you anything.
