How may times do you brush your teeth

I know people say to brush you teeth twice a day.  And that most will say they brush their teeth before the go to sleep and when they wake up.   However, that in and out of it self seems stupid to me.  You go all day without really having clean teeth and you really only have clean teeth while you are sleeping when no one really cares anyway.

I brush my teeth around 1 pm or  after lunch.  When I think about it I will also brush before I go to bed just so I do not have morning breath.   I have never had a cavity.   I also know people that brushes less then four time a week.   Where other people I hang with  will  brush every day three to four times a day.   This said non of us have bad teeth.  So my question is just how important is brushing when to me it does not seem to matter what you do.

I asking because I have to write a paper for school about dental and oral health habits and how often do people brush their teeth was one of the questions I have to write about.  Any replies will e great

    You should brush your teeth twice a day and floss before going to bed each night. As for me I brush when I wake up just to get rid of morning breath.

    Then if I can I do brush after lunch and before going to sleep at night. So I brush two to three times a day.

    One time a day really when I get up after breakfast before going to school. I try to floss each day but I do not always remember.

    Just two times for me and I floss before going to bed. I have good teeth and since I do not like going to the dentist I have to take my oral care seriously

    I brush two times a day but I have a brother I know only brushes two to three times a week. It so gross. For some crazy reason I am the one that has had two cavities and my brother teeth are so far cavity free.

    Two times some times three if I feel I need to.
