Dental Insurance, What do you get when you need major dental work done?

I have so much wrong with  my teeth that the list is an arm long.   I have delay my dental care do to lack of money.   I still do not have much money to speak of and I am not sure  what to do any more.

My friends tell me to get dental insurance but they either have very long waiting periods or low annual max  that will not even begin helping me much.  I also looked into dental HMOs that do not have though limits but the problem is they also do not cover for any specialist.

I know I will need to see some speacialist.  What are you to do when  you are poor ?  I wake up some nights in pain and I can not continue this way.  I need dental help

Even though some dental HMO insurance plan may not cover for specialist check to make sure they do not offer some discounted savings if you do need to see a specialist. Some do you just have to read the terms and conditions of each plan.

You might also just want to get a dental discount plan so you know that you can at least get 20 percent of any specialist they may have.

The fact is you let your teeth get bad over the coarse of a few years. Now you may not be able to fixed them in a matter of one or two visits.

If you get a dental HMO insurance plan which normally are more affordable and less expensive then the PPOs without the waiting periods. Who cares if they will not have coverage at this point for specialist. You need to start some where. Many HMO dental insurance plans will offer free preventive dental services. You may get into the dentist to find out you do not need to even see a specialist.

At worse you let them fix what they can that you are covered for and then get a dental discount plan to get 20 percent off their specialist. I would not worry about things until you know for sure what it is your really need to have done.

Try the old standards. Look into dental clinics and dental schools. If you have any near you should be able to get more affordable dental care from either one of them.

However I would still suggest getting at least a dental HMO insurance plan in place. I guessing you do not want to ever have to be in this same position again. Buy getting dental insurance you will then be able to continue maintain your oral health care.
