Dental Insurance for Braces, I will be getting Braces
Hi, I will be getting braces put on in a week from this Thursday. I was wondering it having braces put on hurts a lot? I have a school test coming up the day after I get my braces so I was thinking if I am in really bad pain my mom may let me stay home. That would give me another three days to study for the test which I could really use to my advantage.
I mean if I have to have braces on any way I may as well get something good from it too. So please advise if you think I could take a day off from school. Oh and don’t tell me to fake it because my mom would know I am faking so it has to be real.

Pain will very depending on the person. It really should not hurt you so bad that it keeps you from attending school the next day. I know why you may like it to hurt you like that but it would not be any fun it it did. Just study as much as you can up until your test date.

I agree with Greg. For some people getting on their braces will make them sore and in some pain until they can adjust to having the braces. That can take a week or two. However, I do not think it would be so bad that you are having to stay home from school.
If you can not fake it I say do what you should be doing and that is studying for your test. More then likely having the extra days will not help you much anyway. Think about it if you are in a great deal of pain how much will you be able to really study.
